Yes, we're well past Valentine's Day, but romance has no season. Any day is a good day to be caught up in love. Especially at Disney World. Even if you're visiting the parks with the kids, there's still no reason not to have a romantic night out just the two of you. Better yet, find the romance in some of the most popular spots inside the parks. In the first post of this little love bug series, we took a look at one of my favorite romantic ideas, brunch in Epcot's France Pavilion (Les Halles Boulangerie & Pâtisserie). Today we're talking Disney World's romantic sights to help you romance the World. There's a lot to see! Let's get going!
Main Street U.S.A.
I absolutely love the romantic feel of Main Street U.S.A. From the ambient music, the delicious smells, and the magic and wonder of a day in Magic Kingdom, this is one of the most romantic parts of Disney World. I love the idea that every detail is designed to make you feel like you've traveled back to the turn of the century. You can enjoy quiet little nooks in the shops or you can be right in the middle of all the action. Look for those hidden details, hold hands, take a walk after the sun has gone down, have your picture made, ride in the trolley, listen to the Dapper Dans ... I could go on and on! Seriously, this spot is full of romantic moments!
Fireworks
No one does fireworks like Disney. Seriously, once you've seen them, you can just about skip any other show! There's nothing better than enjoying the fireworks with the one you love. My favorite firework displays can be found in the Magic Kingdom. You might enjoy Epcot's Illuminations: Reflections of Earth or Disney's Hollywood Studios' Fantasmic! — I LOVE Wishes nighttime spectacular! The best part is the fireworks are often visible from locations out of the hustle and bustle of the parks. I love eating at 'Ohana and watching Wishes from the comfort of my dinner table! No matter where you're watching, the view is guaranteed to be the perfect setting for a goodnight kiss ... or two!
Resorts
Disney magic doesn't start and stop inside the theme parks. No way. Every element of the property is filled with nothing but pixie dust! That's why I love staying on property. In my book, there's nothing more romantic than a moonlight stroll around Disney's Boardwalk or a casual stroll through Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter.
Why not stop for a scenic swing with your sweetie at Disney's Caribbean Beach? Disney sets the mood for a most romantic time. Grab a drink and take time to slow down and enjoy your home away from home.
So what do you think? Do you make it a point to take time to see the romance or do you find yourself bogged down in the hustle and bustle of a Disney trip? Take time on your next trip to slow things down. You might just have to take baby steps. If you're with your family, it might be something small but meaningful. Maybe you'll take time to hold hands during Wishes. Maybe you'll stop to enjoy Main Street U.S.A. rather than rushing past it in hot pursuit of The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. No matter when or where, take time for you and the one you love. Don't let that magic pass you by!
