Your Guide to Ghoulishly Good Disneyland Halloween Time Treats

by Mommy Frog on September 1, 2023 13 Los Angeles

Inside This Post Inside This Post

You frog fans know one of the things we love most about the fall festivals and events is the yummy eats. There are spooky treats and mouth-watering eats (including Halloween-themed caramel apples!) that will have you racing to Disneyland Resort faster than you can say "pumpkin spice." Ready to be tempted and terrified with the limited-time tasty snacks and monstrous morsels available at the theme parks, hotels and Downtown Disney? Read on for the full scoop on the sweetest Disneyland Halloween Time treats as well as the Plaza de la Familia options this year.

Halloween Time Food - Oogie Boogie Crispy

There are so many Halloween treats this year. It's no trick — many restaurant treats arrive a few days early, as early as Aug. 29! Some items stick around until Nov. 9, 2023. Frogciting news! There are a few Halloween dining packages and other new dining events going on this season that we can go over before we dig in!

We created a downloadable menu infographic that you can use around the resort!

2023 Disneyland Halloween Dining Packages and Experiences

New this year, you can have a Halloween character dining meal at Goofy's Kitchen! Goofy and his pals are in costume, and his kitchen has special Halloween decor, music and food offerings! Reservations are open now up to 60 days in advance. Goofy's Kitchen Halloween is every day Sept. 21 through Oct. 31, 2023, for breakfast, brunch and dinner. You do not need a park ticket to dine here because it's in the Disneyland Hotel.

At Disneyland Park, there is a Halloween Screams dining package with a meal and specialty dessert that gets you a voucher for watching the Halloween Scream fireworks from the north side of the Plaza Inn patio. We discuss it more in our Disneyland Dining Packages post. You need a park ticket and reservation to attend.

Another fireworks dining package in Disneyland Park has a Halloween theme this year. The Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace Lounge Experience has a new Halloween theme and is available on select dates (with scheduled fireworks) Sept. 1 through Oct. 31, 2023. One word of caution about spending a lot on fireworks packages though. If they get canceled due to weather, which hoppens last minute sometimes, you will not be reimbursed. You need a park ticket and reservation to attend.

Your Guide to Ghoulishly Good Disneyland Halloween Time Treats - Panic Churro and Dessert Party for Oogie Boogie Bash

At Disneyland California Adventure, the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party offers guests sweet treats and a seated view of the Frightfully Fun Parade. You need an Oogie Boogie Bash party ticket (sold out) and a reservation for the dessert party to attend. There are also special treats and churros available only during the event.

Disneyland Halloween Time Treats at the Candy Shops

Hi Dayzed!

Hop over to our Hotels page! Once you pick the city and dates, you can go through the search results by map, which could help you pick a hotel that's in the middle of all three (if you want a central location). You can also filter by our top picks, special offers, amenities, location and more. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi Diane!

We do have a blog post about eating gluten-free at Disneyland Resort! It's not specifically for Halloween treats, but more of a general guide of year-round offerings.

We got a $20 "Oogie Boogie bash meal voucher" with each ticket. It says that it has a max value of $20 but not much else in terms of instruction. Do you know how this works? Can you use it for any food (except alcohol)? Can it be used on another day (not during the Oogie Boogie bash)?

Hi Ray!

We have not seen those so we can't say for sure, but the dining cards we received with A Touch of Disney were good for any food or nonalcoholic drink and were also good for after the event (it could be similar to those vouchers). If these were for a cast member preview by any chance, then they could be more limited in use. We'd just suggest confirming once you're there!

So to get the glow cubes, do you shop the home products area at the shops? Or do you have to order an alcoholic drink to get them? How do you get the two colors you mentioned?

Hi Al!

The glow cubes are at various locations through the resorts. You can purchase the purple poison apple at many restaurants with or without a drink (Red Rose Taverne sells them without a beverage). The 4 pack is from Carthay Circle (with purchase of a drink), and the glow dice come with certain drinks at Hollywood Lounge.
