Hello! How can I stay up to date on when the Indiana Jones ride will be closed in 2020? I'm planning a trip for the last week in April, but haven't made reservations yet and would be devastated if the ride is closed while I'm there. I'm just wondering when they may announce more details on its closure and how long it'll be closed. Thanks!

Hopefully Indiana Jones will be open by March, since they might want to celebrate the ride's 25th anniversary, i'm going during the second week of may, hopefully Indiana, Snow white and Haunted Mansion will be open by then.

Have a trip to go to Disneyland 1/9/2020-1/11/2020, saw that the Christmas decorations come down around 1/6, safe to assume a decent amount of the Christmas-decorated rides will be closed? :/ haunted mansion, small world, etc?

Hi Parker!

Yes, sadly, Haunted Mansion will be closed. We do not yet have the date that it's a small world will close. They usually start the removal after Haunted Manion. For the past two years, the removal has begun Jan. 22, so you might still catch it! You can usually find ride closures about 6 weeks before your trip on the entertainment schedule.

Hi Laura!

It may be too far out to see the schedule. Normally the calendar is out 6 weeks in advance. But not every show time will be out that early.

Disneyland has been waiting longer than usual to announce their full show schedule and even some dining reservations this fall. A safe bet will be to expect two shows Friday, Sat. and Sun. each week plus holidays. Some weekdays may not have a show or will have one show, depending on park closing times and expected crowd levels.

Hi Donna!

Expect “it’s a small world” to be closed as it gets ready for the holidays; we'll make any additional refurbishment changes that pop up on this post, as well. There is no chair seating for Fantasmic. It is all standing except for restaurant packages, which are seated on the ground. Our one suggestion is to book a dining package at River Belle Terrace, and call to upgrade it so you can watch the show from your table as you dine.

Mickey's Halloween Party in Disneyland is now Oogie Boogie Bash, which takes place in California Adventure. This is the first year that it's happening over there, so while we know a wide variety will be open, we don't have an exact list just yet. You can find all of the details we do know about Oogie Boogie Bash here.

Hi Karen!

You are not alone. While Disneyland usually allows reservations up to 60 days in advance, many people are noticing that there are no reservations options for some experiences/times during that period. They just have not been released yet. Perhaps they are finalizing park hours. The entertainment calendar does not have all fall information posted yet either, so some information is delayed in coming our this year. Keep checking back because they may open soon!

Hi Naomi!

Disneyland only releases show information up to 6 weeks in advance, unfortunately. Since the holiday time will have just ended, this is sometimes a period where there are fewer shows, or when shows just take place on the weekends. But this is also a time when we’ve seen Disneyland release new shows like Mickey’s Mix Magic for Get your Ears On (January 2019), or the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade a few years ago. It is just too early to tell what they have in store for next January. World of Color and Fantasmic! were both in refurbishment for January 2019, but that does not mean they will be closed in January 2020. Stay tuned!

Hi Connie!

We unfortunately don't have any refurbishment information about that time period just yet, but generally the removal of the holiday happens very early on in November (within the first few days), so you should be safe.

We're making our first trip to Disneyland in May and I called yesterday morning to make reservations at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique only to find out they are closed for renovations from May 15th-May 25th. I didn't see this information posted anywhere on their website. Does anyone have any alternatives before I break the news to our little princesses?

Sephora will do free makeup (you do not have to buy a product, but do make a reservation to get in at the time you would like) and then buy the little princess a dress from the disney store or online at shop disney and a tiara (often found at wedding sections of craft stores) and maybe you could do her hair making the whole experience a bonding time too.

If I remember right there is a similar shop in the downtown Disney shops before you enter Disneyland maybe this might be an alternative for you.

Oh no! So sorry to hear it, Wendy - that's certainly news to us! We'll let the Frog Pond weigh on on potential alternatives they may know of, but perhaps a surprise princess dress upon arrival will help ease the sting for the little princesses (maybe a shopping spree in Disney Springs?) Keep us posted!

I noticed WOC dining/dessert packages are shown on the website till late April, but May dates haven't opened yet. Fantasmic dining packages show through May 4. What does this mean? Are they taking WOC down in May again? Thanks.

Hi Katie!

Disneyland has only been releasing about a month or so ahead of time for its entertainment schedule. We aren't showing any World of Color refurbishments, so our guess is that the schedule just hasn't been released that far in advance. We'll keep our eyes and ears open!

Hello, I do not see availability for tickets from April 5th and later and the park hours schedule do not show any information from that date on. Will the parks be closed on that date?

Hi Guilherme!

Disneyland only releases its schedule a few months in advance due to its pricing schedule (which is based on estimated crowd levels), though it WILL be open on and after April 5 :) No closures are currently scheduled!

Hi Meagan!

We hope you have a great trip with your daughter! Unfortunately, there is no firm date on when the castle will open back up (all they've told the public is "spring," but we've got our eyes and ears open! Mickey's Mix Magic, the new nighttime spectacular, does have fireworks on select nights. You can take a look at the schedule here.

Hi Robin!

We show nothing on the schedule as far as a planned refurbishment for the Matterhorn Bobsleds (though of course that can change), and Fantasmic! is scheduled to be back up and running as of March 8, 2019 -- so you should be clear for both! To make Fantasmic! dinner reservations, call (714) 781-DINE once you reach the 60 day window before your visit.

When the witch conjures up a spell on the lagoon and it starts bubbling. The bubbles are intended to scare the ducks away before the lagoon is set afire to prevent roasted duck! Fantasmic fact many cast members don’t know!

Hi Coleen!

Thanks so much for the heads up! It's back up and running today, so it's possible that there was just a mechanical issue that left the ride down temporarily. We'll keep our eyes and ears open!

Does anyone have the slightest clue when World Of Color will reopen? The Disneyland website says “Scheduled to return soon.” But when is soon? We have a trip planned in April and would love to see the show.
