Disneyland Refurbishments & Closings

Hi. We are planning a trip for early September and I am wondering if any rides (Haunted Mansion or Space Mountain) will be closed to get their holiday overlays. Do you know what the dates for September closures have been for which rides over the past couple of years? Or what to expect and plan around? Thanks!

Any word on when Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain will be open in September 2018 after the Halloween overlay is complete?

Hopefully coming for a visit in October 2018 what will be closed at that time? Hopefully the train ride around the park isn't closed my favorite.

How long do the Christmas decorations stay up? And is the park still really busy the first week in January?

I saw splash mountain reopens april 13. I have a trip the following week there and my littles will be heart broken if it’s still closed. Are they normally pretty good about sticking to their “opening” date?

I will be bringing my kids down April 9th-11th I really hope splash mountain opens a couple days early... I remember this ride as a kid and want them to as well

Hi! It’s says big thunder ranch area closed permanently. Is this also the actual ride Big thunder rollercoaster ?

Any possibility that Incredicoaster (opening June 23, 2018) will open early by June 17th?

Because of some recent family issues, I most likely

will no longer be able to go to Disneyland in the

late winter/early spring like I normally have in the

past. So I guess from now on, my only other

choice is to go to Disneyland in late June. There

are only four rides that I absolutely must ride: the

monorail ride, the "Alice in Wonderland" ride, the

"Haunted Mansion" ride, and the train ride. I know

that these four rides are almost always available

throughout the late winter/early spring, unless it

happens to rain (which it does quite often at that

time of the year). I was just wondering if these four

rides have ever been scheduled for refurbishments

in late June (because several Disney "experts" are

saying that late June is actually the "least busy"

part of the summer at Disneyland), or do they

leave these rides "alone" during the whole

summer season?

Frozen doesn’t have a schedule for April. Is it closing or going to be open?

So with the announcement of Star Wars on May 3 with Hyperspace Mountain returning do you know how many days for the changeover from Space? We are going that week and would dislike not to have Space Mountain now that pirates is going to be down. I read somewhere 2 to 3 days. Just curious to know so we can get on it our first 2 days there.

Will be visiting disney March 20. What rides will be down splash mountain and dumbo?

My husband and I were at Disneyland March 5&6. On the 6th the park closed 4 hours early! I checked schedules everywhere when planning and couldn’t find a page that showed early closure dates. Is there such a page so I can avoid those dates next time I go? I felt bad we had to leave so early that night- and pay full price

My family will be spending at week at Disneyland the week of the 19th. It's a little early to tell, but we are preparing for it to rain during our stay. Curious if they close any rides or attractions during the rain? We have no plans on the weather stopping this vacation!

Hi! I am showing on the Disneyland site that based on the calendar search for ride closures, that Matterhorn will be closed starting April 16th. Do you know anything about this and how long it usually stays down? Also, if they are opening Pixar Pier mid April, will most of the stuff still be closed until late June? Hello. Is Toy Story Land part of the California Adventure refurbishment?

We're going March 11-15. Was originally planning to do DCA on Mon and Wed, and DL on Tues and Thurs. But with all the DCA closures, I wonder if we even need 2 days. Would it be better to do 3 days at DL, and only 1 day at DCA with all these refurbishments?

We've never seen Mickey & the Magical Map, and I see it's only available on Mondays. But to do that and only have 2 days in DL, we'd have to give up our Blue Bayou reservations on Tues. (Not going to give up the Plaza Inn Minnie breakfast on Thurs.)

Our Minnie breakfast reservation is at 7:30, which would make it difficult to do a Magic Morning that same day and really take advantage of it. But it all works out if we do DL on Mon, Tues, and Thurs, and only DCA on Wed? Is that a good idea or bad idea?

They finally have a date for Spash Mountain! Looks like it will be up and running Saturday April 14!

Will the closure of Paradise Pier affect crowds during Spring break time at all? We are considering the week of April 9-13 but know that is right in the middle of Spring break.

Apologies if this has already been asked. Does anyone know the closure dates for Pirates at Disneyland? We plan on being there May 08 and was planning to dine at Blue Bayou but not sure the experience will be the same with the closure of the ride.

Isthmian a good time to go

It’s the most closures I have seen at one time in a long while. Too bad, finally planned on taking my six year old in late May. Hope splash Mountain is open by then.
