As you get ready to plan your Disneyland trip, it's helpful to know which rides and experiences may be closed or undergoing refurbishment during your visit. Here is the full Disneyland refurbishment schedule and permanent ride closings. Permanent closures are attractions that are no longer active in the parks, refurbishments are temporary closures and seasonal closures take place annually. All of these refurbishments and closings are subject to change without notice. Don't fret! Hello, we’re heading to Disney from the UK middle of August 14th- 18th. Do you think Paradise Pier will be open by then? Also I checked out some rides that were closed that time last year, and it seemed to be Big Thunder Mountain most days. Is this usually closed in August do you know? Thanks!

Hi Kirsty,

We are unsure of the exact date Pixar Pier will open, but Disney says it will open in Summer 2018! So, hopefully this definitely means by August. We can't say for sure when Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closes, but it usually goes down sometime in August or September for a few days!

I went with a fractured toe. They have a system where you get a return time At the exit of certain rides so you don’t have to stand in line. You have to get a red tag or something similar at guest services when you first get to the park. You can get one at either California venture or Disneyland and it’s good for both parks for the duration of your stay

Hi Kathy,

Disneyland began replacing the Main Street tracks on Jan. 8. We're not sure how long this will take, but we imagine it's a fairly lengthy process as they are maintaining as much of the original track as possible. Other than Main Street vehicles being out of operation, we don't think this will impact traffic noticeably in the park.

Has the "bride auction scene" inside the "pirates" ride at DISNEYLAND in CALIFORNIA changed to the "surrender the loot scene" yet (as of today, December 28th, 2017, that is...)??? I know that "scene" won't start to "change" until the ride is closed for refurbishment in mid-February at WDW in FLORIDA, but I am more interested in when it will "change" at DISNEYLAND in CALIFORNIA since that is the only Disney theme park I really go to anymore... It probably will already be "changed" by the time I go there next (early summer of 2018), but I want to at least know if it has "changed" yet or not... Thanks in advance for your time!!!

Why are they changing the Bride Auction Scene? That really bothers me how they will mess with original themes. Over the years how many people have come to love that ride and love to come back and see it as they remembered it. I hope it’s not being changed because some virtue signalling small minds cannot get into the Disney spirit and see it for what it is (a show) and not as a political statement!

I've been wondering this same thing as we are going to be there end of Jan/First of February. How long does Splash Mountain usually stay closed for refurbishment?

As of today, I'm looking at the January 7 through January 12 Disneyland calendar online, and seeing no shows and no parades at all. Does that calendar ever change after posting? Also, it shows no fireworks for January 7, which surprised me because I thought that was still considered the end of the holiday season. I knew it was going to be a quiet time, but this seems ridiculous. Any thoughts or hope would be appreciated.

Hi Leap! Do you have any idea when Pirates of The Caribbean will be closing for the install of the new "Redhead" scene? We are planning to go in the first week of March and we hope it's open that week.

Hello!

I wanted to know whom I could get a hold of that is responsible for the park maintenance. Particularly for the maintenance of Rides & Roller Coasters. I would appreciate the assistance if possible. I look forward to hearing from you soon, thank you!
