Star Spangled Celebrations! Fourth of July at SeaWorld, Universal and Disney

by Mommy Frog on June 28, 2019 Orlando   Video

Hi there! Welcome to our weekly roundup of the most interesting theme park news around the Walt Disney World Resort, the Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and other theme parks.

Here Are This Week’s Theme Park Highlights:

Fourth of July - Magic Kingdom

  • Red, white and blue festivities abound! Theme parks across the nation are gearing up for some patriotic parties for the Fourth of July. Check out SeaWorld Orlando's special laser and fireworks show called "Ignite" this Independence Day. The show is included with park admission, or you can reserve a seat in Bayside Stadium for $60 for enhanced viewing.
  • At Disney World, Magic Kingdom will offer a patriotic fireworks show, "Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" on both July 3 and 4 at 9:15 p.m. EST. Can't catch the display in person? No problem! Disney Parks Blog will be live streaming the event on the Fourth, which you can watch here. (Looking for even more details about the Fourth of July hoppenings at Disney World? Here's our complete guide to this year's offerings.)
  • Universal Orlando will be celebrating from July 4-6, including performances from both a DJ and a live band, a character dance party and a dazzling pyrotechnics display (featuring confetti cannons) at 9 p.m. EST.
  • Universal Studios Hollywood, for the first time ever, will also be joining in the Fourth of July fun with a fireworks show on the Fourth and holiday-themed decor and food around the park.
  • You can also catch the sparkling "Disney's Celebrate America!" fireworks spectacular on Independence Day at Disneyland Park at 9:30 p.m. PST.

Imagination Pink - Minnie Macaron

  • Imagination Pink has arrived at the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts! While spirit jerseys, headbands and backpacks have been making their way into stores on both coasts, delicious treats of all shapes and sizes are also now ready to be enjoyed. At the Disneyland Resort, look out for goodies such as Imagination Pink Cake Pops, Minnie Macarons and Imagination Pink Cupcakes at Marceline's Confectionary in Downtown Disney, Hunny Spot and Jolly Holiday in Disneyland Resort and Trolley Treats, Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe and Clarabelle's in California Adventure Park. At Disney World Resort, you'll find treats in the vibrant new hue including Imagination Pink Churros, Pretty in Pink Strawberry Tarts and even Imagination Pink Cotton Candy Cocktails at Disney World Resort hotels, Disney Springs and Disney World parks.

  • Bigfire, Universal Orlando's newest restaurant at CityWalk, is now cookin'! The restaurant, modeled after a lakeside summer house, complete with camp lanterns and s'mores, uses a custom wood fire grill to prepare mouthwatering open fire entrees such as bison burgers, coffee, chili and cocoa rubbed top sirloin and freshwater trout. Each entree is paired with a complementary wood for grilling to best enhance the dish's specific flavors.
  • The Yeti will make its ferocious return to Halloween Horror Nights Orlando! This time, Yeti will be roaring into an original maze, Yeti: Terror of the Yukon. Enter (if you dare) a logging camp that's been torn apart by an icy, monstrous terror. Welcome to Yeti territory! Now, to make it back out in one piece ... (We frogs were partial to "Attack of the Swamp Yeti" last year. Ribbit.)

Surfside Inn and Suites - Universal Orlando Now Open

That’s it for the theme park news this week! Have a great weekend.

Hoppy planning!

Keep hopping, Mommy Frog!
