Get Ready to Set Sail On Disney's FerryTale Wishes Fireworks Cruise

by Ashley Metz on October 8, 2015 1 Orlando

Anyone else been on the lines or on My Disney Experience making reservations for the latest and greatest in dining experiences? If you haven't heard the dish, there's a new dessert party in the World! That's right, Disney park guests can now partake in the most magical of evenings with the Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise! Today, I want to share some of the details to help you make the most of a magical night at the Magic Kingdom.

Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise

What's Ferrytale Wishes All About?

For $99 (adults)/$69 (kids 3-9 years old), you'll be watching the purely magic Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the decks of the iconic General Joe Potter ferryboat as you cruise through the Seven Seas Lagoon. This magical cruise sets sail from the Ticket and Transportation Ferryboat dock about an hour prior to Wishes. A wide variety of confections will be offered, including some special snack and few resort favorites such as:

  • “The Grand” Key Lime Tart
  • Polynesian De-constructed Pineapple Upside Down Cake
  • Contemporary “Traditional with a Twist” Spiced Flourless Chocolate Cake
  • “Main Street” Mickey Balloon Tarts
  • Mini “Fireworks” Cupcakes with a Pop
  • Cinderella’s Sugar Slipper with Orange Financier
  • Florida Mango Panna Cotta
  • Beverages: a variety of choices, including sparkling wine, coffee and a signature punch.

The signature punch can be made with or without alcohol, so everyone can enjoy. Every guest receive a complimentary palette plate and glow glass! This is a pre-paid event, and tickets are limited. Those in wheelchairs and ECVs can be accommodated. Get on the phone/web/app and make your reservations today.

When Does Ferrytale Wishes Set Sail?

Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise

FerryTale Wishes made its maiden voyage Oct. 5. Going forward, it will take place on selected nights throughout the week. As of now, Ferrytale Wishes is only taking place through December. If there is enough interest, we imagine it would be extended! The best part about this cruise (other than the sparkling wine and desserts till ya bust, that is ... ) is if you book for a night that falls on Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you'll be viewing HalloWishes and Holiday Wishes respectively. Here are the dates and listing from Disney's site:

During Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (September 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31 and November 1) the fireworks display will be Happy HalloWishes. During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (November 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 29 and December 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18), the fireworks display will be Holiday Wishes – Celebrate the Spirit of the Season.

Guests are asked to report to the Ferryboat dock at the Ticket and Transportation Center. Guests driving themselves should park at the Magic Kingdom Lot and take the monorail or ferry back. (Note that this is not at Ticket and Transportation Center, where Magic Kingdom guests would normally park.) Make sure to leave time for travel. Guests can begin loading the boat 75 minutes prior to Wishes. All guests must be checking in and loaded prior to Wishes, and the cruise sets sail 45 minutes before ... don't be late!

So, what are you waiting for? Let's get on those reservations! I'm sure that this magical crusie will be a hot ticket, so you better get on it today. Reservations can be made by calling Disney Dining at 407-939-1947 or logging on to Disney's site or app. I'm sure this will become one of my new favorite Disney traditions! Who else is with me?

Until next time, keep it magical!
