2021 Disney World Tickets Are Available for Sale! Here's How to Buy and Make Park Reservations

by Leap on June 28, 2020 16 Orlando

As you probably heard, Disney had paused tickets sales for just a tadbit while it implemented a new park reservation system to manage attendance as it welcomes park-goers back to the magic. We have some hopping good news to share — 2021 Walt Disney World tickets are now available for purchase! Even better, we can save you some green when you buy through us! In order to visit a park, you must have valid admission and make a park reservation. This post is intended to walk you through the process of purchasing and linking new tickets, and booking your park reservation.

Walt Disney Word Tickets

Currently, Disney is only allowing new ticket sales for visits between Jan. 1, 2021 through Sept. 26, 2021. At this time, only existing ticket holders and pass holders are being allowed to make reservations for the remainder of 2020. Tickets for the remaining dates of 2020 are expected to go on sale later this summer.

Existing ticket holders: Your tickets have been extended for any start date until Sept. 26, 2021, so you do not need to pick a start date for purchase. Simply link your tickets and make park reservations.

How to Make a Park Reservation for New Ticket

As mentioned above, Disney is managing attendance through a new theme park reservation system that will require all guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance.

Each member in your party ages 3 and up is required to have a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date. At this point in time, there is no park hopping, and flexible-date tickets are no longer available.

We’ve made it easy to see park availability, so you can purchase tickets for the dates you want! Here is how to make a park reservation with a new Disney ticket.

Disney World Park Availability Calendar

1. Confirm Disney Park Pass availability on our ticket calendar or on the official Disney availability calendar.

Ticket Range in Date Availability Calendar

Pick a start date for your trip. The usage window cannot have any "unavailable" days. For example, a 5-day ticket has an eight-day usage window. All eight days have to be available, or you would not be able to complete the purchase.

2. After purchase, link your ticket to My Disney Experience. We will be emailing your E-Ticket numbers or physical ticket numbers (in advance of mailing), so that you can link them right away.

3. Make a Disney Pass reservation immediately after linking your tickets to My Disney Experience for park admission on your selected dates!

We hope this post helps as you get ready to buy your Walt Disney World tickets. Have questions? We're here to help! Drop us a line in comment below!

If park tickets are purchased now for an upcoming trip for Marathon weekend (1/7-13/21) and the trip is cancelled, how long are the tickets good for? Can they be used in January 2022 instead? Thank you

We purchased a 4-day with 1 extra park hopper ticket for my son for a trip we were supposed to take in May 2020. My husband and I already have annual passes. Trip was postponed to June 2020. We are now scheduled for October 2-9. Our son's ticket allows us to book 5 days in the park for him, but as annual passholders we can only book 3 days. I'm SOOOOOO frrustrated right now. Our annual passes were supposed to expire in July but with the closure, we wanted to be able to get one more trip in before they expire. Trying to get through to Disney is almost impossible. After this trip, it will be a LONG time before we go back agqain.

We bought tickets for August 2020. We now need to reschedule for August 2021. Do we need to pay more now to use our tickets?? Thanks

No, you do not. Your tickets have been extended automatically for a use-by date of Sept. 26, 2021.

I’ve purchased tickets through you for December. Are we able to make park reservations that far out? I’ve tried, but it’s giving me a msg to select all member of my party, which I am...

Jul 1, 2020 at 7:41 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Brittni,

You should be able to make reservations for December 2020 if your tickets are all linked in My Disney Experience. If this is the case, please reach out to Disney to troubleshoot. Reservations are not yet available for December 2021.

Given the pandemic, it would be helpful to know before purchasing whether you will allow ticket refunds &/or Disney will allow ticket extensions or if you offer an insurance add-on that would refund in the event that a member of the party ends up being sick on the days that had been picked so far in advance. Could that info be added to this page?

Jul 13, 2020 at 4:44 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Sandy,

As you know, these are extraordinary times. You can see the specifics for each ticket under the refund and policy changes tab on each ticket detail page. We do offer travel insurance that can be added before you complete your purchase!

Ridiculous that Disney is leaving those of us with 2020 resort reservations, but no tickets, out in the cold.

Just an update that 2020 tickets are now available! You can find them here.
