Overview of the Los Angeles Clippers

One of two Los Angeles-based NBA teams, the Los Angeles Clippers are part of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the NBA. The team boasts an average home game attendance of 16,926 fans per game. The Clippers have never made it to the NBA Finals, but inch closer to that goal with each passing year.

The team started out in Buffalo, New York (as the Buffalo Braves) before relocating to San Diego. From there, the team later moved to Los Angeles in 1984 and has remained an L.A. team ever since. The Clippers have rivalries with the Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder. In-state rivals include the Los Angeles Lakers (with whom the Clippers share a home arena) and the Golden State Warriors, based in San Francisco.

As the team is based in L.A., the Clippers have a large celebrity fanbase. You may spot celebrities at a Clippers home game. Look for Billy Crystal, Anthony Anderson, Adam DeVine or James L. Brooks among the celebrity fans in the arena.

Crypto.com Arena

The Clippers play home games at Crypto.com Arena, which used to be called the Staples Center. The arena is also home to the Los Angeles Lakers (a rival NBA team) and the Los Angeles Kings (an NHL team). The arena holds up to 20,000 people. Crypto.com Arena is a great place to see concerts and other live shows.

Intuit Dome (as of late 2024)

The Clippers are getting their own arena in late 2024! Starting for the 2024-2025 season, the Clippers will play at the all-new Intuit Dome in Inglewood, about 1.2 miles south of So-Fi Stadium. And super fans have an all-new fan zone behind the basket to cheer on their team. It's called The Wall. The rules are pretty strict for The Wall. You cannot wear the opposing team's gear or cheer for the other team there, or you'll face losing access to that section.
