Easy Mickey Marshmallow Pops for Your Next Party!

by Crafting in the Rain on August 14, 2014 1

If you have a Mickey or Minnie party coming up soon and you need some party food ideas, try this one! It's a sweet and easy marshmallow pop and kids can help too!

Mickey marshmallow pops

You'll need:

  • Large marshmallows
  • Paper straws
  • White candy melts
  • Chocolate melts

Start by melting some of the white candy. Dip one end of a straw in it and press into a marshmallow, twisting a bit if helps the straw go in. Set aside and repeat for how many Mickeys you want to make.

When the candy has hardened, add the ears by dipping one side of two marshmallows into the candy melts and pressing against the marshmallow on the straw. I set them on a plate in the freezer for about 60 seconds to speed the cooling process. You can also spread some candy on the seams on the back side where the ears touch the head, to make it a little more stable.

For the front, melt some chocolate and spread with a fork or spoon, making sure to cover the seams. I found this easier than trying to dip the front. Again cool in the fridge or freezer, and this is how they look when they're done! So cute for a party, right? You could even wrap the tops in plastic and send them home as favors.

Mix it up by trying different colors of candy melts. Pink Mickey! (Minnie!)

These are so cute!! My boys just discovered marshmallows and they love them! (They are only 1 and 2) They love Mickey too so I will have to make these for them ASAP!
