Overview of the Timberwolves
The Timberwolves play in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference in the NBA. Founded in 1989, the team plays at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. The multi-purpose indoor arena is a popular place to attend concerts, comedy shows and other events. It's also home to the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx. Rivals include the closest teams, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls.
One of the Timberwolves' best-known former players is MVP Kevin Garnett. With Garnett, the team qualified for the playoffs for eight consecutive seasons (1997 to 2004). Following Garnett's addition, the Timberwolves won its first division championship in 2004 and later advanced to the Western Conference Finals that season. Additionally, the Timberwolves have a young great player to watch — Anthony Edwards. He is the youngest player in NBA history to make 10 three-pointers in a game.
At Minnesota Timberwolves games, you'll see team colors representing Minnesota and its many lakes and natural phenomena. The colors are midnight blue, lake blue, moonlight grey and aurora green.
