  • 1-Day Photo Package at Volcano Bay: If you’re just looking for a slice of Waturi paradise, this package is for you. With your one day of photos at Universal Volcano Bay, you get unlimited digital downloads at participating locations. Once you've ordered your package, bring your confirmation email to either a will-call window at the front gate, On Location at Universal Studios in Production Central, DeFoto's Expedition Photography at Islands of Adventure in the Port of Entry or Waturi Marketplace or Krakatoa Katy's at Volcano Bay. A team member will distribute your lanyard and photo card and explain where all of the participating photo locations are in the respective park. For reference, the locations at Universal Studios are:

Whenever you see a professional photographer, just hand them your photo card and they'll scan it. If you want to keep a ride photo, after the team member pulls up your photo or when you locate it at a kiosk, scan your card to save it. If you're at a selfie station, scan your card, stand where directed and smile!

Does each family member have to purchase the $89 package? Parents and children?

Hi Mary!

No, each person in the group does not need to purchase the package.

How do you get the $20 online advanced price. I’m still seeing 1 day price as $89.99 when check out? Is there a code?

Hi Lynn!

The online price is $89.99 and the in-park price is $109.99, so you should see the $89.99 price at checkout online!

Hi Molly!

Typically, two cards are given per package, but you can try asking for additional photo cards.

Hi Jackie!

You can extend your photo package while you're at the park for a slightly reduced price.

How do we get our photo from Hagrid's using My Universal Photos card, is there a kiosk?

Reply
May 8, 2023 at 3:02 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Wendy!

As you exit from the ride, there will be a kiosk for ride photos on your right before you re-enter Hogsmeade, and a team member will scan your card.

Is there anyway to purchase pictures days after?

Hi Linda!

You would need to purchase individual photos or a photo package while you're at the park. Photos are not kept unless they're tied to a My Universal Photos account.

When looking to purchase the photo pass at universal, it says that the price is per card. Is there a way to get additional cards for the same account without purchasing additional packages? Is there a fee for additional cards on the same package?

Hi Michelle!

Yes, when you go to activate your account at the park, you can request additional cards at no extra cost for the same account. (If you're wanting photos on separate accounts, that's when you would need to purchase an additional package.)

Hi there,

Planning a 5 day trip to Universal but only visiting parks for 3 days. Will the 3-day photo package be enough for the three days we're visiting parks (if we don't visit on consecutive days)?

Reply
Jan 3, 2023 at 2:11 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Valerie!

The 3-day photo package only covers up to three consecutive days, so if you aren't visiting on consecutive days, then it may not cover all three days of your visit.

Question - if we buy a three day package and our family splits up in the park, can we collect temporary photo cards when we take pictures with the characters and then add those to our account later (enabling us to get ride photos from part of our group while the little kids go get character pics the way you would with a disney photopass)

Thanks

Hi Lauren!

There are no temporary cards at each photo location, but when you activate the photo package, you can request multiple cards to carry around if your group is planning to split up!

Where do you activate the online photo passes and where do you ask for extra photo pass card for your group?

Hi Mo!

Once you've ordered your package, bring your confirmation email to either a will-call window at the front gate, On Location at Universal Studios Florida, DeFoto's Expedition Photography at Islands of Adventure, or Waturi Marketplace or Krakatoa Katy's at Volcano Bay. A team member will distribute your lanyard and photo card, and if you need additional cards, this is where you'd request them.

Hey! I'm going to Universal Orlando here in a few weeks, and I plan on proposing to my girlfriend. Will there be a photographer near the "The Adventure Begins..." sign at Islands of Adventure? Or maybe near the castle?

Reply

Hi Trae!

First of all, congratulations in advance! Generally, there is a photographer stationed right at the entrance near the "The Adventure Begins" archway. As for Hogwarts Castle, we occasionally see a photographer there, but it's not always guaranteed.

Got a 14 day ticket. Is there a pass that might cover photos for this duration or even 7 days? We are planning to go at least 4 or 5 times (not doing Disney this time).

Hi Ian!

The longest option is the 3-Day package, so for covering your longer visit, we'd recommend a 3-Day + 1-Day package (if you only want it for four days) or two 3-Day packages (to cover six days).
