The Islanders are a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference of the NHL. The team is one of three NHL teams in New York State and is one of the two New York City-area teams. The New York Rangers play at Madison Square Garden, also the home of the New York Knicks NBA team.
NY Islanders home games are played at UBS Arena. This brand-new, state-of-the-art arena is located in Elmont, NY (in Nassau County on Long Island).
