Overview of the Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers are an NBA team playing in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. First founded in 1946, the team was known as the Syracuse Nationals before taking on its current name in 1963. Known as "the Sixers", the franchise has won multiple division and conference championships, as well as three NBA championships. They play their home games at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Last year, the team went 54-28 in the regular season, finishing third in the Eastern Conference. They advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals before narrowly losing to the Boston Celtics 3-4. Heading into the 2023-24 season, the team is now under the guidance of Nick Nurse as head coach. He looks towards players such as Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, James Harden and NBA MVP Joel Embiid to lead the team to victory this season.
