Hi Marcos!

Unfortunately, it looks like Jurassic Park will still be closed on January 25th for maintenance (though that's the last day of it's scheduled maintenance, according to their website).

Hi! We will be making a trip to Disney World in late March 2019. Couple questions. What is the weather going to be like? Is Kevin from "Up" going to be there in the Animal Kingdom? And, Should we wear shorts?

Hi Rose,

Kevin should be there by then, the weather should be pretty nice with an average high about 78. You'll definitely want shorts, but you also might want long sleeves for the evenings!

December can be hit-or-miss for pool weather in Orlando. We definitely recommend coming prepared with swim gear, as most days are plenty warm enough to enjoy splashing around.

Do you have access or know anyone who does to confirm this. We plan our trips around the Splash closure because it is hands down our families favorite ride. Thanks for your reply. The main consumer website now does show Splash Mountain being closed between January 8th and February 1st 2018 if you search the calendar. The main write-up does not show it yet but the calendar does. I have also spoken with another travel agent with access to the Disney Travel Agents website and that site too does show the ride going down during those time-frames. They even called the Disney Travel Agents website line and confirmed it. A real bummer. We avoided a November trip because of this and I have now had to move our January trip back 2.5 weeks to avoid the closure (the ride is that important haha!) Hope this helps.

I've heard more rumors about splash mountain being closed in January. Have you heard anything further on this? And if it is going to be refurbished why would they wait until less than 80 days to announce it? It's very frustrating and avoidable, we changed our original plans of goIng in October bc it was closed and now we might have to cancel agaIn

Hi Kevin,

We hopped onto the official Disney Travel Agents website this morning and did not see Splash Mountain listed for closure. We also checked the attraction's official page with a few Jan. dates. Same thing — not listed for closure. If that information changes, we'll update this post.

As always, refurbishment schedules are subject to change.

How intrusive is the construction in the Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort currently. We are going to Disney in January and like the moderate hotels but want some feedback on how it might have impacted others vacations.

Hi Holly,

During a brief stay in June, the only construction intrusion we experienced was the temporary food court. For us, it worked out fine, as we only dined for breakfast. Perhaps other readers can share more recent experiences.

We are planning a trip possibly in Feb of 2018. Do you know if any of the Harry Potter attractions will be closed? I don't want to bring my son if this is the case. I would rather wait. Thanks

Hi Teri,

None of the Wizarding World attractions are scheduled to be closed at that time. As always, the refurbishment schedule is subject to change.

I am pretty sure that dragon challenge will still be closed during that time.

If the Liberty boat is closed does that mean there will be no access to Tom Sawyers Island? I'm planning a family trip and my step dad really likes the island.

Hi Vanenna,

The Liberty Square Riverboat does not take you to Tom Sawyer's Island. Rafts located near Big Thunder Mountain will take to the island.

Can someone advise if the work being carried out at the Art of Animation hotel spoils the holiday? We are traveling from the UK on 17th August for a two week holiday and do not want this spoils,

Thank you
