Here Are This Week’s Theme Park Highlights:
- Slowly but surely, more and more of the magic is reopening at Walt Disney World. This time, Mickey and his pals are returning to Chef Mickey's for this ribbeting character dining breakfast at Disney's Contemporary Resort on Dec. 16. There will even be a few toadally new dishes, including Mickey’s “Celebration” Pancake, featuring whipped cream, celebration sprinkles, shimmering pixie dust and more. Chef Mickey reservations open Oct. 17. SIGN. US. UP.
- Hungry for more foodie news??? We've got the dish on more dining options! Disney's Hollywood Studios rolled out new menu items at ABC Commissary. Froget your standard burgers and fries. You can now nosh on a plant-based burger, a chicken grilled cheese sandwich, tacos, and several rice bowls.
- Just in time for the start of the holiday season, Walt Disney World will be reopening Winter Summerland Miniature Golf is reopening Nov. 6. Word has it that Santa Claus himself designed the two themed 18-hole miniature golf courses as a vacation spot for him and his elves.
- No, Disneyland hasn't reopened yet (still), but the resort did open up a sound stage inside Disney California Adventure with an assortment of merch. The "Disneyland Resort Backlot Premiere Shop" is filled with seasonal merchandise from World of Disney and select Disney stores for all of your shopping pleasure.
- In awwwww news, a baby dolphin was born at SeaWorld Orlando's dolphin nursery Sept. 29. It's not yet known whether the baby is male or female, but the park will open a contest to let guests name the baby once the gender is revealed!
- In thrill news, construction is progressing on the Tron Lightcycle Run coaster in Magic Kingdom. The coaster, which will be the first one to be added since Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in 2014, is set to open in 2021.
- Don't froget, you can watch construction progress of another Orlando coaster. Jurassic World VelociCoaster is set to open summer 2021 at Universal's Islands of Adventure. WE. CANNOT. WAIT!
