Sacramento Team Overview
The Sacramento Kings are a professional basketball team playing in the Pacific Division of the NBA's Western Conference. The team was originally founded in 1923 as the Rochester Seagrams. Over the last century, the team has held various names and cities before taking its current name in 1985. Since then, the Kings have been one of four NBA teams in California including the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers. They play their home games at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA.
Last year, the team went 48-34 in the regular season before going on to win the Pacific Division title. After qualifying for the postseason for the first time in nearly two decades, the team narrowly lost 3-4 in the first round against the Golden State Warriors. Following that successful season, head coach Mike Brown unanimously won NBA Coach of the Year in his first year coaching the Kings. Brown returns for the 2023-24 season and looks toward players such as center Domantas Sabonis, point guard De'Aaron Fox, shooting guard Kevin Huerter and power forward Harrison Barnes to secure victory this season.
