Here Are This Week’s Theme Park Highlights:
- The force is awakening! Disney officially announced that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will open summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort in California and late fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Disney Parks Blog shared this exclusive video sneak peek of the new, immersive lands and we can't wait to visit these new galaxies!
- Star Wars: Galactic Nights welcomes Rebels and Jedis alike to Disney's Hollywood Studios this Sunday for a specially ticketed fan event. A projection show will adorn the Tower of Terror, a panel for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will be taking place, select attractions will be open all night and so much more. We're so jealous of those who get to attend the Q & A with Joonas Suotamo, who most recently plays Chewbacca!
- SeaWorld Orlando is kicking off its summer festivities this weekend with Electric Ocean. When the sun goes down, the family fun turns up at the park! Through Sept. 2, explore exotic worlds of light and music filled with glowing sea creatures, DJ entertainment and a spectacular display of fireworks. Tad and Lily were HUGE fans of last year's event.
- Locals! Locals! Read all about it! We're now selling discount Florida resident tickets to Disney World and have a hoppin' limited time deal. The Florida Resident Disney Discover Tickets allow you to visit the parks for three or four days for as low as $160.87 — which works out to less than $54 a day! Take the leap today before these tickets expire in full June 24, and check out why now is a great time to take advantage.
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood has some new magic for the summer, according to Attractions Magazine. Two new interactive wand experiences are coming soon to the park in addition to new lunch offerings at Three Broomsticks and the return of The Nighttime Lights of Hogwarts Castle. Can someone please tell Tad not to try the Incendio fire-making spell at home?
- Special ticket options are now on sale for Florida's biggest Christian music festival at Universal Orlando Resort. Rock the Universe offers two spectacular days of uplifting music and worship (with a chance for autographs from your favorite bands!) alongside your favorite thrill rides.
- Last but certainly not least, we'll have a hopping good flash sale next week, Wednesday through Friday. If you're thinking about purchasing tickets for your next vacation, you'll definitely want to hop to it!
