Previous information for reference! To visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland® Resort between May 31 and June 23, 2019, guests need valid theme park admission and a no-cost reservation to access the land. There are two different processes for guests who are staying on-site at an official Disneyland® Resort hotel vs. those who are not (valid theme park admission is required for both). Let's hop to it and explore everything you need to know about making Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge reservations at Disneyland® Park.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Reservations at Disneyland

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Reservations for Guests with Theme Park Tickets Only

Guests not staying at one of the three Disneyland® Resort hotels but who wish to visit the land between May 31 and June, 23, 2019, will need to make a reservation. The Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge reservation system will open May 2, 2019. The Disney Parks Blog will release more details about the process at 8:00 a.m. PST on May 2. Guests must have a Disney Account to register for a reservation, so be sure to get a jump on setting that up and have your login information handy before this time. Reservations will become available at beginning at 10 a.m. PST on May 2.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Reservations for On-Site Hotel Guests

Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland® Resort hotels will receive one designated reservation per registered hotel guest. There is only one reserved space for each registered guest for the entire stay. You cannot get a reservation for every day of your stay. Your Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge reservation is linked to your hotel reservation. If you cancel the reservation, your Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge reservation will be canceled as well.

Do you know if I can change the guest names on the reservation? People had work come up and are not able to make the reservation so I want to change the names on the reservations.

Hi Dan!

Disney's guidelines say that no modifications or changes are permitted; we'd suggest calling them at (714) 520-5060 to see if the names can be modified.

Stay cool!

Hi there. Do you know if it is possible to make 2 separate reservations at Disney Resort hotels and receive 2 SWGE reservations? For example, if I booked a stay at Paradise Pier for one night and then a stay at the Disneyland Hotel for the next 2 nights would our party receive 2 SWGE 4-hour windows? Thanks in advance!

May 24, 2019 at 9 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Kymberli!

We have not heard of that limitation. After hotel reservations are made, all info is sent to a separate Star Wars reservation team to review. It’s best to call and ask Disneyland reservations about this to be certain.

I was luck to get two separate reservation windows (2pm-6pm and 5pm-9pm) for 12 people. How in detail will the 4 hour window work? Right now both of our reservations over lap at 5pm. Does that mean we can all enter at the same time but one group will only have one hour left before the mouse gives you the boot? What if you are in line to get on a ride?

May 6, 2019 at 4:25 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Noel!

Disneyland has not released the details about the windows besides to say that people will need to exit at the end of the 4 hours. For Halloween parties and After Dark events, they use a system of colored bracelets and check them repeatedly. Your first group will enter at 2 p.m. and have to leave by 6. The other group can enter at 5 and leave by 9. You will have one hour of overlap but that is it. The entire reservation must be present together when you enter. Stragglers will not be admitted if they are not with the party and the person who made the reservation. We do not know how they will remove people, but when the park closes on regular nights and on party nights, park guests standing in line for a ride can stay in line until they ride the ride and then will be ushered out of the park. We'll update this post once we know more!

Hi when I made the reservation I wasn't given the option to add guests. Does that mean I'm the only one who can go in?

May 6, 2019 at 5:27 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Gabe,

Most likely, that is the case. Did you receive a confirmation email from Disneyland? If you did, it will all the names in your party. Keeping our fingers crossed for you!!

How many persons are we able to make reservations for? For example: I will have a party of four adults, can I reserve for all four of us?

Apr 30, 2019 at 1:03 p.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Melanie!

You can make reservations for each ticketed guest in your party if you are not staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel; if you are staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, you can make a reservation for each member of your party listed in your room reservation. Outside of this, no restrictions have been announced about how many reservations you can make just yet, though we expect there will be some additional information announced on Thursday. Stay tuned!

We purchased 5 two day tickets yesterday but they’re being sent to us via USPS mail for some reason which takes 5 to 7 days.

Our admission tickets have been paid for, issued and sent but they obviously won’t be in hand by this Thursday. Will we still be able to make our reservation?

Hi Daryn,

Yes, if there is availability.
