On June 8, 2025, the Tony Awards aired live from Radio City Music Hall on CBS. It was a broadcast filled with touching moments, incredible performances, long-awaited victories and surprise cameos.
In a year filled with theatrical adaptations of TV shows ("Smash", "Stranger Things: The First Shadow,") movies ("Real Women Have Curves: The Musical," "Death Becomes Her") the lives of famous singers ("A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical," "Just in Time") and even real historical events ("Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical," "Floyd Collins"), this was truly a Broadway season for the books.
