You guys…it’s almost my favorite month of the entire year! I’ve waited 12 LONG months to make it back to the month of love! That’s right, it’s almost Valentine’s Day! If you know anything about me, then you’ll know that February is a full-out festival of all things love for my favorite holiday, Valentine’s Day! I know there are many people out there that don’t share the same adoration for this holiday that I do, but today, I’m hoping that you’ll stick with me long enough to see that this month really can be magical, especially when you’re at Disney World enjoying it all!
For the extra nudge to any Valentine’s Day haters, I created this post to appeal to your sweet tooth. Today, I’m sharing my top five sinfully decadent chocolate treats at Disney World. Who can resist chocolate? I know I love it, especially when it’s from my beau. Cogsworth put it best, “there’s the usual things: flowers, chocolates, promises you don’t intend to keep…” (well, we’ll just forget that last part). Come on, I’m ready for some chocolaty goodness. Here are my top 5 chocolate treats at Disney World!
1. Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel at Karamell Kuche
I’ve ranted and raved for MANY posts about my beloved caramels. The complex flavors of the caramel and the complementary sea salt and dark chocolate will send you on an intoxicating flavor journey. Seriously, they will become the souvenir you ask friends to bring you back from their trips to Disney World. Forget the non-perishable ear hat or mug. From now on all you’ll want is that chocolaty square of goodness. What more could your valentine want than this confection! Stop by the Germany pavilion in EPCOT and buy a few to share with your sweetheart and I guarantee they’ll LOVE it.
2. Premium Mickey Bar
So, I rave about this one all the time too. It’s my favorite, all-time, No. 1 food ever. There’s very little I wouldn’t do (within legal realms) to get my hands on this deliciousness! The perfect Disney day to me would end with a stroll down Main Street USA with your sweetie as you enjoy a Mickey bar, do a little people watching, and wait for Wishes! to begin. In my book, that’s about as close to heaven as you can get!
3. Chocolate Cream Puff at Be Our Guest
Be Our Guest continues to amaze guest, and it's one of the most romantic restaurants in all of Disney World. Even after the “new” should have worn off, this restaurant dazzles and excites. While dinner reservations are hard to come by, and even a table at the quick-service lunch is too, it's worth the hoops you'll have to jump through. Be sure to order a chocolate cream puff and taste a little piece of heaven in the elegant surroundings of Beast's Castle! The atmosphere of this dining experience will put you in the mood to celebrate the season of love!
4. Pastry Case at Sunshine Seasons
If you’re looking for variety, you’ll really enjoy the food court area in the Land Pavilion at EPCOT. Sunshine Seasons will allow you to diversify without breaking the bank. PLUS, they have a phenomenal pastry selection! That means you’ll be able to get your chocolate on in a variety of ways! I say each of you pick a different pastry, then you can share the love and sample each other’s sweets.
5. Chocolate Galore at Big Top Treats
Your eyes will be delighted by the delicious confection counter of Big Top Treats in Fantasyland. From chocolate covered apples, krispy rice treats, pretzel rods, and apples to fudge of every flavor and everything in between, you’re sure to find some sort of sweet chocolaty goodness to satisfy your sweet tooth! Go ahead, be a kid, get a sweet treat and enjoy the circus life! Hey, I’m not judging!
