Universal Orlando's Cinematic Celebration Officially Debuts

by Mommy Frog on July 20, 2018 Orlando   Video

Hi there! Welcome to our weekly roundup of the most interesting theme park news around the Walt Disney World Resort, the Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and other theme parks.

Here Are This Week’s Theme Park Highlights:

  • After a couple weeks of technical rehearsals, it's official! Universal Orlando Resort's new Cinematic Celebration had its official premiere this week. The new lagoon show features water projections, music and pyrotechnics to tell your favorite stories, including Fast & Furious, Despicable Me, Harry Potter, Jurassic World and more. We were toadally impressed when we checked it out this week and can't wait to hear what our frog friends think!
  • Over at Universal Studios Hollywood, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has our tummies grumbling like Fluffy, the three-headed dog! The Three Broomsticks has three new entrees that all sound out-of-this-(wizarding)-world. Try the new Ploughman's Lunch, Sunday Roast Sandwich and Cheese Toastie.

Roundup - Rivers of Light Dessert Party

  • Are you a huge fan of Animal Kingdom's Rivers of Light and sweets, like me? Well, you're in for a real treat ... literally. Walt Disney World just announced a new Rivers of Light Dessert Party, debuting August 6. Priced at $79 for adults and $47 for children, you can enjoy an hour of unlimited desserts and refreshments before heading down to a VIP viewing area for the show.
  • Just when we thought we couldn't be more excited for SeaWorld Orlando's Infinity Falls, our favorite aquatic theme park teased us with a photo of the soon-to-be iconic tower structure for the highly-anticipated water ride. The height and aesthetic of this awesome tower has us extra hyped ... and an opening date announcement is promised in the next few weeks. Yay!
  • Happy birthday, Disneyland! Disneyland celebrated 63 years of magic on Tuesday. Did you see some of the fun on our Instagram story? We captured some of that magic along with the Pixar Fest fun during a media tour! Either way, check out these awesome historic photos in honor of the occasion. We're so hoppy that Disneyland Resort has been bringing so much joy for all this time!

That’s it for the theme park news this week! Have a great weekend.

Hoppy planning!

Keep hopping, Mommy Frog!
