2024 Ticket and Hotel Availability Opens May 31, 2023
2024 availability for theme park tickets, Disney Resort hotel stays and vacation packages are now available! Disney also announced a few frogciting changes to look forward to next year. (Psst ... don't froget that your favorite frogs can help save you some green on your next trip to Disney World, including tickets, hotels, rental cars and more!)
No More Theme Park Reservations Needed for Date-Based Tickets
Starting with park visits on Jan. 9, 2024, Disney theme park reservations will no longer be needed for date-based tickets. When purchasing tickets, you'll just have to select a start date for Jan. 9 or later and complete the purchase — then, you're all good to go! Date-based tickets are the standard ticket options that Disney offers.
For other admission types, including non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may be required to help with monitoring attendance.
Disney Dining Plans Will Return
The fan-favorite Disney dining plans are finally coming back as an option for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a Disney vacation package with stays beginning Jan. 9, 2024 (which can be booked starting May 31, 2023). Guests will be able to choose from two options: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. These plans offer the convenience of pre-paying for meals and snacks.
Extended Theme Park Time Continues
The Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours benefits for Disney Resort hotel guests will continue for visits through 2024. For all Disney Resort hotel guests, Early Theme Park Entry allows 30-minute early entry to any park, every day. Meanwhile, guests of Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas can take advantage of Extended Evening Hours on select dates at select parks.
New "Good-to-Go" Days for Annual Passholders
In 2024, Disney will introduce new "good-to-go days" that will allow Disney annual passholders and cast members to visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation. These days will roll out on an ongoing basis, in addition to the recent update that now allows passholders to visit the parks after 2 p.m. without a theme park reservation (except Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays). Good-to-go days may vary by park and blackout dates apply. More info will be released at a later time!
Changes Are Coming to Disney Genie+ Service
Though no exact details were shared, Disney is looking at "simplifying the Disney+ experience" for visits in 2024. Disney's goal with this update is to give guests the opportunity to spend less time planning in the park, and are exploring ways that guests may be able to make Genie+ and individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of their park visit. More information will be shared at a later date.
Phew, that was a lot of news! Are you looking forward to booking and planning your Walt Disney World 2024 trip?
