Singer-songwriter Caitlyn Smith began singing and playing piano at a young age, writing her first songs by the time she was 12 years old. Smith spent a number of years helping contribute behind the scenes to songwriting for charting singles like Meghan Trainor and John Legend’s "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" duet, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s "You Can't Make Old Friends", Avicii’s “Chained” and “Love” and Miley Cyrus’s “High” and also wrote multiple songs for the hit television show Nashville. Smith’s 2018 full-length album, Starfire, hit No. 24 on the Billboard folk charts and she has since been named one of Rolling Stone magazine's "10 New Artists You Need To Know".
