Cigarettes After Sex Tickets

Experimenting with the sound of a four-story stairway at his alma mater, Greg Gonzalez recorded the first EP for the dreamy and ambient Cigarettes After Sex. YouTube helped to popularize the band's dream-like, androgynous sound, pushing the newly formed band to begin work on a full-length album that didn't release until almost a decade after those initial ethereal stairwell recordings. As their name suggests, the band's lyrics are often romantic, reminiscent of lying in bed with a sweet sentimentality that has scored them a cult following.
