DJ Kool Herc Tickets
Known as the “Father of Hip-Hop” DJ Kool Herc pioneered the breakbeat DJing that has become the essence of modern hip-hop in the Bronx, New York City in the 1970s. Nicknamed “Hercules” as a child due to his demeanor on the basketball court, and pulling the “Kool” from his graffiti days, Kool DJ Herc distinguished himself and his go-all-night parties by spinning late-1960s funk records of James Brown and Mandrill, isolating the break for dancers to go wild.
