Chicago native G Herbo, formerly Lil Herb, emerged from Chicago’s drill scene with a uniquely coarse and grainy voice that helped him stand apart from his peers. After releasing “Kill Shot” on YouTube with friend and fellow rapper Lil Bibby, the rappers were named “the future” by Drake, gaining them widespread attention. By the 2020’s G Herbo was securely in the Top 10 with his albums PTSD, 25 and Survivor's Remorse, having collaborated with artists like 21 Savage, Chief Keef, Young Thug and Juice Wrld.
