Halona Blowhole
Frog Family Rating:
Oahu is packed with natural croakworthy beauty and one of the island's hidden gems is the Halona Blowhole. Nestled into the lava rock coast on the southeastern shore, this geological formation is a must-see for visitors to the island. Created thousands of years ago by volcanic eruptions, the blowhole can send geysers as high as 30 feet! Frogs can get a great view of the geysers from the nearby lookout, and there's a scenic beach cove, Hālona Cove, nearby, but don't froget that the waters below can get violent at high tide. This picturesque spot has been featured in multiple movies including From Here to Eternity, 50 First Dates and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The overlook is also the perfect place to spot humpback whales and Honu turtles in the winter!
