Houston Dynamo FC is a Major League Soccer (MLS) soccer club that competes in the Western Conference. Following the 2005 season, the owners relocated the San Jose Earthquakes' players and staff to Houston, Texas. Their home matches are now played at the soccer-specific Shell Energy Stadium afer several seasons of utilizing Robertson Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston. Breakout performers, the club won the MLS Cup in their first two (2) seasons in 2006 and 2007, capturing the attention of soccer fanatics worldwide.
