Lady A, formerly known as Lady Antebellum, formed in Nashville in 2006 and the country music trio rose on the charts while writing for MTV's The Hills. Their fourth single "Need You Now" from their second studio album was a crossover hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Hot Adult Contemporary chart. The Grammy-award winning, country-pop group also became the first artist in CMA Award history to receive the Single of the Year honor for two consecutive years in 2010.
