Los Angeles Football Club is a Major League Soccer (MLS) soccer club based in Los Angeles, California. Commonly referred to as Los Angeles FC or LAFC for short, the club was established in 2014, joining MLS in 2018. Sharing their home city with MLS counterparts and rivals Los Angeles Galaxy, their home matches are played at the soccer-specific BMO Stadium. In 2019, only their second year, the club won a Supporter Shield and their club captain was dubbed the MLS MVP for the year. In 2022, LAFC won both the MLS Cup and Supporter’s Shield, completing a league double.
