After some time working as a professional baker, Madeline Kenney became involved in her local arts community and picked up modern dance, painting and her childhood loves, piano and songwriting. Kenney recorded her layered indie rock albums Signals and Night Night at the First Landing with the help of Toro y Moi and produced an intricate pandemic breakup album, 2023’s A New Reality Mind, totally on her own in her basement. Pulling in electronic elements, heavy reverb and a dreamy finish, Kenney’s music is just as much composition as it is song.
