Mammoth WVH is the brainchild and solo project-turned-full rock band of Wolfgang Van Halen, son of the famed guitarist Eddie Van Halen of Van Halen. Anchored with a heartfelt tribute to his father’s memory, “Distance”, Mammoth WVH’s first self-titled debut album in 2021 was recorded entirely by Wolfgang who sang and played every instrument himself. Referencing Dave Grohl’s early work in Foo Fighters as inspiration, Mammoth WVH combines metal, grunge, alternative rock and hard rock elements while exploring themes of grief, isolation and resilience to create a deeply personal sound.
