Introduced to country greats at a young age, Megan Moroney began to learn piano and sing with her father. While in college, she had the opportunity to open for Chase Rice, performing her first song “Stay a Memory” and interned for Sugarland's Kristian Bush, who would later help to produce several singles and a debut album for the blooming country artist. Moroney struck gold with her affectionate 2022 single “Tennessee Orange” which peaked at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart while also landing her a spot on the CMT Next Women of Country Class of 2023. Recanting tales of toxic relationships, reconnecting with an ex for a fun-filled night and girlhood woes, her graceful and gritty mix of country, folk and Southern rock makes for a uniquely fresh sound Moroney likens to “a vintage car that can fly”.
