NCAA Bowl Games Tickets

For most college football history, a playoff tournament was not utilized to determine the annual national champion. As such there is a rich history of cities developing regional festivals centered around bowl games that allowed them to showcase top talent. The building blocks for the modern College Football Playoff (CFP) system were first established with the formation of the Bowl Coalition in 1992 and prior to 2002, bowl games statistics were not even included in career totals.

In the modern format, bowl games start in mid-December and run through mid-January, including the bowl games known as the New Year’s Six. The New Year's Six (Cotton Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl) includes six (6) of the 10 oldest bowl games that rotate as the hosts of the semifinal games for the CFP. To participate in any of these historic games, teams must earn the right to be bowl eligible and then are invited to play (typically based on conference standing and tie-ins) by the CFP selection committee.
