Belasco Theatre
With red brick and terracotta pillars, the Belasco Theatre is an easy-to-spot Broadway theater in the Theater District of Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Opened in 1907, the theater originally operated as the Stuyvesant Theatre and shared a similar design style to the nearby Hotel Gerard. The auditorium of the Belasco Theatre has 1,016 seats across three levels and box seating. Above the proscenium arch, an elegant mural depicts the human emotions live theater showcases.
Performances of “Hamlet”, “Ain’t Misbehavin’”, “How to Dance in Ohio” and “Appropriate” are just a few of the many productions to take the stage at Belasco Theatre. Be on the lookout for new shows! If you grab tickets to opening night you may even have the chance to see the ghost of David Belasco, who is said to bless a show if he appears in one of the boxes. Either way the Belasco Theatre is sure to provide a ribbiting experience you won't froget.
