Minskoff Theatre

The Minskoff Theatre is a famous Broadway theater located in the heart of Times Square. Named after one of New York’s distinguished real estate families, it opened in 1973 and has hosted numerous popular musicals, including “West Side Story”, “The Pirates of Penzance” and “The Lion King”, which has been running there since 1997. This theater is considered one of the largest and most impressive theaters in New York, showcasing panoramic views of Broadway and hand-painted, gold-leaf sculpted tableaus featured in the main lobby. There are approximately 1,710 seats, with the auditorium split between an orchestra level and a balcony. You might say it's a hoppening place to see a show, and with "The Lion King" as a permanent resident, it's sure to be ribbiting!
