What we love
- Only Disney's All-Star Resort Hotel to offer family suites
- Largest family suites of the Value Resort Hotels
- Oversized musical icons are fun for music lovers and band fans
- Disney's All-Star Resort Hotels are the least-expensive of all the Disney resorts
- About five minutes from shopping and dining off Disney property
Keep in Mind
- Hotel charges $15 per night (sales tax included) for overnight self-parking
- During off-peak times, it shares transportation with other Disney's All-Star Resort Hotels, which can add to travel times; Disney's All-Star Music Resort is the second to be picked up and dropped off
- Disney's All-Star Resort Hotel guest rooms are smaller with double beds
- No slides, hot tubs, or water features at the pool
- Musical theme is likely more interesting to parents than children
- Family suites have been converted from standard rooms
- King bedrooms are handicap accessible and do not have tubs
- Preferred rooms are closest to the main Calypso Pool and Intermission Food Court but see more foot traffic
- Disney's All-Star Resort Hotels sometimes play host to larger sports groups
Notable Facts
- Groundbreaking for Disney's All-Star Resort Hotels began in November 1992
- The Three Caballeros – that's Donald Duck, José Carioca and Panchito — sit at the center of the feature pool
Frog Family Tips
- Select a preferred room in Calypso if you want to be close to the main pool and dining, but keep in mind that these will see more foot traffic and possibly noise
- Request a third-floor room for less foot traffic noise (not all requests are guaranteed)
- If you want a king bed, you should make this reservation when you book and then call a few days before you check in (not all requests are guaranteed)
- Make time to visit the All-Star Music Hall of Fame in the lobby, which features music memorabilia from current and past legends
- Largers families should consider suites rather than two rooms; while suites are more expensive, they have kitchenettes
Best For
- Families spending most of their time in the parks who don't want a lot of amenities but want the benefits of free Disney transportation and Extra Magic Hours, and/or families who want the least-expensive suites on property
