When Timon and Pumbaa start clearing trees from the savanna and damming rivers to build the Hakuna Matata Lakeside Village, King of the Pridelands Simba gets ruffled and steps in to teach them the impact of their actions. Pumbaa and Timon soon realize how important the different kinds of plants and animals are to the health of the planet. After all, they're part of the Circle of Life.
Using live-action footage of environmental concerns around the world, this film is a great opportunity to introduce children to eco kindness.
The Circle of Life theater seats a large number of guests, so you probably won’t have to wait through more than one show to be seated. The lines are typically longest around meal times, since many guests will watch Circle of Life after they eat at one of the restaurants in The Land Pavilion.
This is a good one to do when you need a break from the heat. The entire experience may take 40 minutes when you take into account time waiting to enter the theater, preshow entertainment and the actual film.
Circle of Life has a great message and the recognizable characters like Simba, Timon and Pumbaa keep Tad and Lily’s interest for the duration of the film. If our schedule is packed, we may skip it, but it’s always a good way to sneak in a rest if we need it.
Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable is a 70mm film in The Land Pavilion in the Future World West area of Epcot. The 20-minute film which stars Simba, Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King is a mix of animation and live action footage.
Guests may remain in their wheelchair, motorized scooter or ECV to experience the attraction.
