The Great Big Piggy Bank Adventure Innoventions invites kids of all ages to imagine, invent, inquire and be inspired while exploring amazing innovations that make our lives better. Here’s an overview of the experiences in Innoventions East: - Take an exciting learning challenge that incorporates physical and virtual elements to teach everyone in the family the importance of sound financial planning.
Smarter Planet – Get a glimpse at how new advances in computer design can significantly reduce our energy use and how technology is utilized to help solve some of the world’s most complex problems. Create your own avatar then experience a video game starring – YOU!
Videogame Playground – Experience the latest in videogame technology as you compete against your favorite sports teams, challenge a villain to a duel or embark on a one-of-a-kind adventure with some of your favorite Disney characters.
Segway Central – Discover the Segway, the world’s first self-balancing, electric-powered personal transporter.
Where’s the Fire? – Get your picture taken at the 30-foot pumper truck, become a Fire Chief by answering the most questions at the Burning Questions kiosks, and explore the Play It Safe Maze in this fun exhibit promoting fire safety.
If an exhibit has a wait time of more than 10-15 minutes, come back later in the afternoon or early evening. Segway Central is typically the busiest exhibit in Innoventions West.
The Great Piggy Bank Adventure is our favorite exhibit in Innoventions West. Leave it to Disney to make the subject of financial planning fun and entertaining! Tad could spend hours at Videogame Playground, so we usually have to set a time limit. (The only two members of the Frog Family who have the guts to try the Segways are still too young.)
Innoventions West, one of the two buildings of the Innoventions Pavilion, houses interactive exhibits suitable for guests of all ages. The exhibits are sponsored by corporations such as T. Rowe Price (The Great Piggy Bank Adventure), Liberty Mutual (Where’s the Fire?), IBM (Smarter Planet), Segway (Segway Central), and Coca-Cola (Club Cool).
Each exhibit has its own line and restrictions.
Guests may remain in their wheelchair, motorized scooter or ECV to experience the attraction.
