One of the most popular female vocalists of the 1980s, singer-songwriter Pat Benatar hasn’t slowed down. After quitting her day job to pursue music, Benatar worked as a gig artist until releasing her breakthrough debut album, In the Heat of the Night, with singles “Heartbreaker” and “We Live for Love”. Her follow-up album, Crimes of Passion, with lead single “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” was even more successful, landing at No. 2 and becoming four-time platinum certified in the United States. With gritty pop albums that carried the weight of arena rock, Benatar has had numerous hit singles, several platinum albums and Grammy Awards and landed herself a spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
