Sun Devil Stadium
Sun Devil Stadium is a football stadium home to the Arizona State (ASU) Sun Devils of the NCAA. Built in 1958 the stadium has a capacity of over 50,000. The field is named for famed ASU coach Frank Kush. The stadium has held important college games over the years including the Fiesta Bowl and Cactus Bowl. In 1996 the stadium hosted Super Bowl XXX, where the Dallas Cowboys won against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to football, Sun Devil Stadium has been used in several films including 1976 “A Star is Born” and 1996 “Jerry Maguire” and held an appearance by Pope John Paul II in 1987.
