Raised by first-generation Cuban immigrant parents, Pitball was always encouraged to capitalize on his privilege of living in America. Making a name for himself in the Miami hip-hop scene with a feature on Lil Jon's Kings of Crunk album, Pitbull followed with the release of his own debut album, M.I.A.M.I., that landed him on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and Hot Rap Tracks chart. The bi-lingual rapper has since collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, leading to his breakthrough hit single "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" and his rebranding into a multi-genre pop artist known as "Mr. 305" and "Mr. Worldwide". Known for his activism and philanthropy in the Latino-American community, Pitbull has won a number of awards, had his songs used in major movie productions, was ranked by Billboard as the 45th Top Artist of the 2010s and still knows how to bring the party with his dancefloor-filling hits.
