Providence Park is an outdoor multi-purpose sports and entertainment venue located in Portland, Oregon. It is home to two (2) professional soccer teams, the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Portland Thorns of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Providence Park dates back to 1893, and is the oldest soccer facility used by an MLS team. With a capacity of over 25,000, the stadium has held numerous major sports events including two (2) World Cup Championships, the MLS All-Star game, and MLS Cup. Notable events include Elvis Pressley’s 1957 performance at Providence Park, which was the third-ever Rock Concert at a stadium, making it an unfrogettable part of music history.
