Rhett Akins's very first single, "What They're Talkin' About" was a Billboard country chart hit in 1994 and his signature and breakthrough single "That Ain't My Truck" hit No. 3 in 1995. While his later work was less commercially successful, Akins has continued to write songs for other heavy hitters in the industry including Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and his son Thomas Rhett.
