Los Angeles-based rapper Quincy Matthew Hanley, better known by his stage name ScHoolboy Q, first made waves with the release of his 2011 studio debut, Setbacks, and his 2014 third album, Oxymoron, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Hanley is also a member of the hip-hop supergroup Black Hippy and has been featured on crossover songs like the Gorillaz song "Pac-Man". Leaning into a versatile rap style, ScHoolboy Q credits Jay-Z and 50 Cent as major influences on his work.
