Brought up in a musical family, Sir Darryl Farris, known mononymously as SiR, got his start in songwriting but didn't fully dedicate himself to music until 2011. His first charting album, Chasing Summer, showcased his pensive progressive R&B style with collaborative tracks from names like Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Jill Scott, Kadhja Bonet and Zacari.
