System of a Down Tickets

Armenian-American heavy metal band System of a Down, sometimes referred to as SOAD, formed in Glendale, California in 1994. In 1997, the band caught the attention of a producer with their first professionally recorded song that was featured on the compilation Hay Enk recognizing the Armenian genocide in World War I. The band began to see moderate success following the release of their self-titled debut album, a tour with their idols Slayer and an Ozzfest appearance, but their big break followed the release of their second album, Toxicity, which debuted at No. 1 in both the United States and Canada and featured the band’s most popular hit single “Chop Suey!”. Known for politically-charged lyricism that pushes against the status quo mixed with a balance of thrash metal mixed with alternative rock, with the band members categorizing themselves “as if Slayer and the Beatles had a baby”.
