George M. Steinbrenner Field
George M. Steinbrenner Field is a baseball stadium located in Tampa, Florida, just a hop away from Raymond James Stadium, the home of the National Football League (NFL)'s Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Opened in 1996, it serves as the MLB Spring Training ground for the Major League Baseball (MLB)'s New York Yankees. The affiliated Tampa Tarpons also claim this field as their home turf.
Named after the late Yankees' owner, who is immortalized with a life-size bronze statue, the ballpark has been expanded to now seat over 11,000 people, features a variety of club and lounge seating and has additional shaded areas to help protect fans from the unforgiving Tampa sun.
Due to damage from Hurricane Milton, the George M. Steinbrenner Field is serving as the interim home field for the MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays while Tropicana Field is restored. As the smallest ballpark in the MLB, it offers a closer, more intimate viewing experience but seats will sell out quickly! Grab your tickets today!
