The 1975 Tickets

Fronted by lead vocalist, principal songwriter and guitarist Matty Healy, The 1975 is an English pop rock band that formed in 2002 while the members were still high school students. Known by many names in their early years, the band settled on their current name in 2012 based on some scribblings found in the book On the Road by Jack Kerouac. Their self-titled debut album topped the UK Albums chart, largely supported by extensive touring and their stripped-down, mellow style that didn’t rely heavily on production. The band saw quick international success following tours in North America, Europe, New Zealand and Australia in 2013 and 2014, receiving an invite to play Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2014. Praised by publications like Rolling Stone, Billboard and Pitchfork throughout their career for being the face of modern pop rock, The 1975’s ever-evolving sound has made them one of Britain’s biggest modern bands.
